Ciao a tutti, sono Carmelo.
E oggi vi faccio una piccola recensione
di ‘Music of the Spheres’ il nuovo concept album di una delle band più conosciute al mondo: i Coldplay.
E allora vamos!
Proprio ad ottobre del 2021 i Coldplay hanno pubblicato il loro nuovo album che si intitola “Music of the Spheres” che a mio avviso è un album molto bello con belle canzoni e sonorità.
Ogni traccia dell’album rappresenta un corpo celeste dell’universo. Seguendo le tracce dell’album, essi sono: Neon Moon I (Music of the Spheres), Kaotica (Higher Power), Echo (Humankind), Kubik (Alien Choir), Calypso (Let Somebody Go), Supersolis (Human Heart), Ultra (People of the Pride), Floris (Biutyful), Neon Moon II (Music of the Spheres II), Epiphane (My Universe), Infinity Station (Infinity Sign) e Coloratura (Coloratura).
L’album è stato lanciato con due singoli: il primo è uscito nel 2021 e si intitola ‘Higher Power’.
Il video clip che possiamo trovare su YouTube o negli altri store é molto originale perché descrive l’universo visto dai Coldplay:
infatti le scene sono state progettate come se ci trovassimo a bordo di una astronave nello spazio.
A me è piaciuto molto, perché a mio avviso é ben fatto, ti immagini veramente di essere nello spazio. Poi, questa canzone, c’è niente da fare, mi fa emozionare sia per la ritmica che per l’atmosfera.
Il secondo singolo estratto dall’album è ‘My Universe’, una canzone realizzata in collaborazione con i BTS.
Di questa canzone ho fatto una drum cover, qui trovate il link se volete dare un’occhiata.
Ho scelto proprio questa canzone e per realizzare la drum cover mi sono divertito molto: ho dovuto ragionare su quali pelli e piatti utilizzare per ricreare il suono di Will Champion, il batterista dei Coldplay. Inoltre, ho dovuto pensare mentre la registravo, a quale tecnica utilizzare per suonarla. Per esempio il rullante nel brano originale ha un suono stupendo e unico.
Mi sono divertito a sperimentare nella registrazione della cover.
